Glow is a proprietary blend of complementary skin and repair peptides. Each component has its own background in skin research.

Status and context

Glow has not been approved as a medicinal product or cosmetic and is supplied solely as research material. As with any blend, any observed effect may be attributable to one or more of its components; you should therefore, where possible, compare the blend with the individual peptides and carefully document its purity and batch number.

The standardised formulation makes Glow a reliable baseline for cosmetic and dermatological research. The fixed ratio between the peptides ensures that experiments remain more comparable with one another than would be the case with individual, manually mixed components.

Comparing the blend with the individual peptides remains the most reliable way of understanding the contribution of each component. A pure starting material, documented for each batch, is a prerequisite for this.

Glow is supplied as a lyophilised powder and reconstituted in the laboratory using bacteriostatic water. The steps below describe only the laboratory procedures for research purposes.

1. 1Allow the vial and the bacteriostatic water to reach room temperature.
2. 2Wipe the rubber stoppers of both vials with an alcohol wipe.
3. 3Allow the bacteriostatic water to run slowly down the side of the vial; do not direct it straight onto the powder.
4. 4Gently swirl the vial until everything has dissolved; do not shake.
5. 5Store the solution in the fridge and label it with the date and batch number.

Working with a blend

In a multi-peptide blend, the ratios between the components are fixed. Note down the total quantity, take the multiple components into account in your calculations, and document everything in a traceable manner for each experiment.

• Powder form: freezer (-20 °C) for long-term storage; fridge (2–8 °C) for short-term storage.
• After reconstitution: store refrigerated (2–8 °C) and use within a few weeks.
• Avoid direct light, heat and repeated temperature changes.
• Write the reconstitution date and batch number on the vial.
